Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, previously named Barcelona-El Prat and also known as El Prat Airport, is an international airport located 12 km southwest of the centre of Barcelona, lying in the municipalities of El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, and Sant Boi, in Catalonia, Spain, Europe. It has been named after a former President of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Josep Tarradellas, since 27 February 2019.

It is the second largest and busiest airport in Spain, and the sixth busiest in Europe. In 2019, Barcelona Airport handled a record 52,686,314 million passengers, up 5.0% from 2018. It is a hub for Level and Vueling, and a focus city for Air Europa, Iberia, EasyJet, Norwegian and Ryanair.

The schedule has been reduced since February 2008, when a Madrid–Barcelona high-speed rail line was opened, covering the distance in 2 hours 30 minutes, and quickly became popular.

A new Terminal 1, designed by Ricardo Bofill was inaugurated on 16 June 2009. It is the fifth largest in the world, and has an area of 548,000 m2, an aircraft ramp of 600,000 m2, 13,000 new parking spaces and 45 new gates expandable to 60. This terminal is also capable of handling large aircraft like the Airbus A380-800 or Boeing 747-8I.

The terminal handles both Schengen and non-Schengen flights. It is split into 5 Modules with Module A handling flights to Madrid, Module B handling Schengen flights, Module C handling Air Nostrum flights, Module D handling non-Schengen European flights and Module E handling non-Schengen non-European flights.

Museu Can Framis de Barcelona is located on Carrer de Roc Boronat in Barcelona, Spain.

Can Framis is the latest Fundació Vila Casas museum, an art center devoted to the promotion of contemporary Catalan painting. Located in the old Can Framis factory complex, the museum displays more than 250 paintings from the sixties to the present made by artists born or currently living in Catalonia. In addition to the permanent collection which is divided in three floors, Can Framis Museum has an area dedicated to temporary exhibitions named Espai Aø. The permanent collection is updated periodically, and two new temporary exhibitions are opened every three months.

The museum has an education program that offers activities designed for pre-school to secondary school, as well as for people with special educational needs. They also offer guided visits.

The museum is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday from 11.00–18.00 and on Sundays from 11:00–14:00 h.

The Can Framis Museum is located in Roc Boronat Street in the 22@ District of Barcelona, Spain. It was opened to the public on April 27, 2009. The museum is situated in an old textile factory that dates backs to the 18th century and was originally owned by the Framis family. Over the years it fell into disuse, becoming a monument to the industry of the area. The renovation was directed by the architect Jordi Badia, founder and director of BAAS architecture studio. This project consisted of restoring two current factory buildings and constructing a new one to link them, coinciding with the site of another former warehouse which, as a whole, forms a courtyard. This square contains a Jaume Plensa sculpture named Dell’Arte (1990), a donation from the Vila Casas Foundation to the city of Barcelona in 2012.

All the interventions were made in situ using concrete in line with the old structure. Outside, the lime mortar which blends with the existing stonework merges with the exposed concrete of the new buildings. The façade then becomes a collage of textures, niches and coverings which reflect the different ups-and-downs of the building throughout time. The Can Framis Museum is located 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) below the contemporary city roads, since the factory was built based on the former agricultural sketches prior to the implementation of the Cerdà Plan (1860). The road surface is covered by ivy and other plants and the museum is surrounded by white poplars and oaks. Inside, the museum is divided in 36 rooms and there’s an elevator in each of the three floors.

The permanent painting collection is housed in the Can Framis Museum of Contemporary Painting. It has almost 700 pieces between the ones exhibited and the ones that are kept in the warehouse. The museum displays more than 250 paintings dating from the 1960s onwards by a wide range of artists born or living in Catalonia selected by the private collector and owner Antoni Vila Casas.

Carrer A is a street in Carrer Lletra A de la Zona Franca in Barcelona, Spain.

Zona Franca also called in Catalan: Polígon Industrial de la Zona Franca) is a logistics and industrial area located in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona, Spain. Together with the adjacent Port of Barcelona it forms the neighborhood Zona Franca – Port.

It is located in the Llobregat Delta between the Port of Barcelona and Barcelona Airport. The metro line L9 station Parc Logístic connects Zona Franca with central Barcelona and the rest of the metropolitan area since 2016.

Opened in 1953, the original SEAT, S.A. automotive industry factory and production line is located in Zona Franca. Following SEAT’s acquisition by the German automotive giant Volkswagen Group, the plant no longer produces cars, but is instead now solely used as a press shop, stamping out metal body panels. It currently employs 1,269 people.

The area also has a Nissan Motors factory, which produces the Nissan Navara, the Nissan Pulsar and the Nissan NV200 (both electric and combustion engine versions).

The Mercabarna food-trading estate opened in the Zona Franca in 1971 with the transfer of the central fruit and vegetable market, which since 1921 had been in el Born. It was followed by the slaughterhouse in 1979, the central fish market in 1973 and the central flower market in 1974.

The origins and the name of the area date back to an attempt to create a free port in Barcelona which ultimatively failed in 1929. With Catalonia’s industrialisation in the 1950s the space was used to construct factories.

Parc Central de Poblenou is located on Avinguda Diagonal in Barcelona, Spain.

The park of the Poblenou Center is located in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, in the Provençals del Poblenou district, which gives it its name. It is in the so-called District 22 @, an area dedicated to the new economic and technological sectors aimed at development and innovation. It was created in 2008 with a project by the French architect Jean Nouvel, author of the Torre Agbar skyscraper in the Plaza de las Glorias Catalanas, very close to this park.

The park has a triangular shape, in the space formed by Diagonal Avenue and the streets of Bac de Roda and Marroc, within which it is divided into three areas formed by the intersection of the streets of Bilbao and Espronceda —transversally— and that of Cristóbal de Moura – lengthwise. The park area is completely fenced by high concrete walls covered with climbing plants, which isolate it from the surrounding noise, since Diagonal Avenue has a high traffic density. These walls regularly have circular windows decorated with silhouettes of birds, and the access doors to the park are openwork grilles shaped like birds. It should be noted that the entrance arch of these doors is inspired by the one designed by Antoni Gaudí for access to Finca Miralles, in Sarrià.

Teatre Auditori de Llinars del Vallès is located on Ronda Sant Antoni in Llinars del Valles, outside Barcelona, Spain.

Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza worked has completed a red brick theatre with studio Aresta Arquitectura. This public auditorium in Llinars del Vallès, 40 kilometers northeast of Barcelona, was commissioned as part of a public investment in cultural facilities for the region.

Northeast of the urban fabric of the town of Llinars del Valles is the site on which the Auditorium Theatre of Llinars del Valles has been built. This is the first performance of a larger project, already written and spread on adjacent public land obtained from the transfer resulting from the execution of Can Marquès partial plan. The area of this plan, by their east-south-west sides, in a substantially triangular shape, is fitted as a wedge with the consolidated irregular perimeter of Llinars, linking the center of the village with its limit on the northeastern part. The transfer land, where Can Marquès agricultural house has been maintained, named the partial plan corresponding to urban park, equipment and public protection residential uses.

Within the park, an area of mature forest with ancient vegetation, crossed by a stream, remains intact. For reasons of landscape and environmental quality, the forest preservation with the stream has been a determining factor in the new buildings distribution. Besides, the botanical elements of great value that partially surround Can Marquès house, have led to the advisability of the building restoration and extending it in order to take in cultural uses of musical nature.

The values to preserve from Can Marquès House and park, as much as the design of the park itself have guided the general layout of the complex and determined its internal and external connections.
