Yesterday evening I was chatting with a colleague on ICQ, and reviewing some pages we we’re making the other day’s. We had loads of multi-browser-compatibility-problems, so I decided to get Netscape on my almost empyt HD (after the BIG CRASH). So, went to Netscape and got the latest, 6.1 version of their new browser. Today I read that the browser was only introduced yesterday…
I am quit happy with it, it looks much better than the oridinary Explorer 5.5 for Windows. (The Mac version is OK) The new browser loads much quicker (add QuickLauch in your startup folder), the mailclient accepts now also multi e-mail adresses (so we can dump Outlook) and has easy to use Emoticons (smiley’s), IE favorites are automatic loaded in Netscape, there are different themes(skins) available, and features like cookiemanager, password manager, AutoTranslate, etc. Check out Netscape 6.1 website for a full overview of the features, download and installing goes very easy, even without rebooting your system.
Maybe the best reason to try it out: It’s not a MicroSoft product.
(In one week they will launche their new IE6 browser…)
